I went to the Houston Rodeo last year. I really enjoyed Franky Beverly and Maze. My Houston Rodeo Tickets were in the nose bleed section because someone else got them for me...but the great thing about Reliant Arena is that I was still able to see and hear everything. I just wish next time I can get closer seats. The people that sat where I was weren't as live as the audience down on the floor. Mostly older people sat at the top. They danced but not as much as I wanted to get down. I will definitely go again next year. Next year I want to make it to the chili cookoff though. I had to work this year so I couldn't go. There are talks about changing the Astrodome. I wonder how that would affect the Houston Rodeo and the http://www.teamonetickets.com/houston-rodeo-tickets.htmlHouston Rodeo ticket sales? I do wish they would bring more African Americans to the Rodeo. I don't think the performers are people that interest the African American population. It would be good to have the African American performers mixed in with all the others. The Houston Rodeo tickets weren't priced really high either. They were average compared to other concerts at Reliant.

-I'm really bothered by this........I don't know if I can stay here in this environment for 2 years until I finish Grad School........Considering their are grocery store cashiers that get paid more than I do..........This may come to an end real soon......Oh, yeah.....you also said that you were going to demand a pay raise for us...THAT WAS A MONTH AND A HALF AGO! You ain't never mentioned that again....but your big whop head got a raise..............you've been here for 13 years and still getting paid hourly....HOW DUMB! Still in the same situation, and there is obviously room for advancement, but you're so simple minded that you are content with the little that they give you. Man, I hate simple minded people! This all makes me so angry.........Angry to the point that I want to cry .... I hate it when stupid people make me cry....and besides that I can't cry because I'm at work....and besides that I have to answer the phones....I can't answer the phones while crying....and you had the audacity to call back asking, "are you ok?" Nigga please, do you think I'm ok............You left me here with all this work to do........and noone to assist me................ But, I'll keep praying because if I don't I'm liable to walk outta here and leave it all unattended..........OOOOOOOOOOO that would be too funny! My last day here....I may just do that.......... Who's going to answer the phones and be the pawn then?

I have been neglecting my relationship with G-O-D........the internet isnot the only cause but it's in the top 5 (4 of the 5, the other being sheer laziness). I won't be reading other people's blogs.......updating my fotki album, or checking out np.com..............for a WHILE! At least until I feel grounded and disciplined enough to do these things without excess. It's about to pour down outside. Unfortunately I have some errands to run this evening. I'm going to be stuck in the rain....These folks around here already don't know how to drive...and add water and lightining to that and we have trouble!

Gnats........my stinky neighbors..............left their apt. with food in it.....it's been vacant for about 4-5 months.....GO FIGURE....the idiots just realized that they need to paint the apt to get it ready for another tenant. How disgusting. I have bombed 3 times...and still GANTS! AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!

I saw the early screening of Mr. and Mrs. Smith last night. I was a great action film packed with comedy. I didn't expect it to be so hilarious!

Oprah was so graphic today. Carolyn - a lady who got her face shot off by her jealous boyfriend.................WOW! I can't imagine. They showed her face before, during, and after the shooting. WOW, I'm geting teray-eyed.......It makes my body ache reliving those pictures.

I hate logging in..... Why can't the computer automatically do what I think? I hate having to remember all of my passwords to all of my email accounts! I hate changing them......I hate complaining....it doesn't help anything....TMI, yes...I have gas really bad, and it really smells bad.....LOL!

I think all this exercising is making me gassy! LOL!

On a more serious note...............
I have been thinking about life purposes lately. Why is it that humans take so long to realize and follow thier life destiny...and other lifeless things just accpet their destiny/purpose from the getgo? For example, water automatically knows that it will be used (in one way or another) to nourish the earth and all life forms. Water doesn't try to fight this...it doesn't try to alter itself as to delay the process.....it just accepts its destiny point blank.....another example...Lettuce. Lettuce doesn't try to deny it's destiny...it knows that it will only be on the earth to be eaten and pooped out......Why do humans take so long accepting their destiny? Why are we (myself included) so stubborn? Maybe I need to finish reading the "Purpose Driven Life"? Maybe I just need to go to the main source..the Bible....hmmmmmmmmmmm (Sleep Deprivation is starting to take over....I'll end this post now, while it still makes a lil sense."

Before I go, I HATE Cliques/"special" groups......I don't want to be included in them in anyway shape or form...Let me just stay alone...I'll be my friend, LOL! Where did that come from? Gotta go NOW! It's a must!

I am a bit unhappy with life right now(AND MY WEIGHT CAN TELL THE SAME STORY!) . Things seem to keep happening! I have faith and I know that GOD will bring me through, but I'm a lil' impatient!

MY RELATIONSHIP! It's just not the same anymore. thinking about how diff it is makes me start crying! I don't think YOU get it. I'm so tired of repeating it. I try to understand what you are dealing with....but dang! I'm dealing with stuff too! Can you understand that? I'm in grad school and working to support myself! And I can't get a stickin' 5 undivided minutes of your time! THAT SUCKS! Man, what do I have to do to get your attention? I understand that you are busy! ME TOO! I still give you everything that I have always been....I haven't changed! Is this what it's going to be like when we are married too? Will you not have tiem for me then as well?

There's a thread on www.nappturality.com about The Tyler Perry Movie-"The Diary of A Mad Black Woman". They are blasting the movie without ever freakin' seeing it.........HOW STUPID! Most of them have never even seen his plays. They are saying that it defames BLACK WOMEN.....*NO, correction* ....YOU defame black women with your stupidity! They are ranting about why a man would dress up as a woman and why people find that funny.....oh and mind you they think that what Eddie Murphy did in "The Nutty Professor" was ok...but they think Tyler Perry is just hideous (sp)? What in the HELICOPTER are you smoking?

Since when did he need your approval to make a movie inspired by his grandmother's legacy? Sit your angry tail there and grow old being hateful..........Tyler Perry won't lose any sleep over it.

Now, don't get me wrong....I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions...but on np.com.....there's too much ITA (I totally agreeing)...can you speak for yourself....Stop agreeing with everything the np Nazzis say just so you won't rock the boat....what a waste of a life. And my second problem with the thread is that ..... The same folks that are giving it horrible reviews are the same folks that are always on the boards talking CRAZY! Grow up! The movie was GREAT! It was funny, dramatic, and romantic! It was even better than the plays....It was unpredictable and I liked that. It was not the same ole' normal story line for African Americans! I won't say anymore...because I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

I've been busy with work, school, and more work. Can't blog when you don't have the time. Tonight while reading through other folks blogs.......I BURNT MY VEGETABLES. I didn't know it until I saw traces of what looked like fog lining the top of my ceiling.......I FREAKED and ran into the kitchen.......and the saucepan was blazing...........30 minutes later my entire apt. is still stinky and smoky.

ARRGGGGGH! Note to self......pay attention..and only do one thing at a time.

Donnie McClurkin

OK, so I didn't go to bed when I said I would. And I didn't do my homework either. I retwisted my hair and watched the Donnie McClurkin Movie "From Darkness to Light". WOW, his testimony is awesome....not just the homosexuality part of it....but all of the circumstances that God has brought him through. He really minstered to me. The one thing that he got from his life tribulations and trials is this; "In order for others to be saved, someone has to be crucified." Thank God for using him, for allowing him to experience what he did when he did.......I thank God first for the message and then for the messenger.

I pray blessings upon Donnie, his ministry, his musical career, his family....his life. Thank God that he was delivered.

I knew bits and pieces of his story before watching the movie...but after watching the movie, I have a new more appreciative level of respect for the message that he is preaching. WOW, I can't imagine what he is going through. I want to read the book next. (Eternal Victim, Eternal Victor.)

All in all I had a busy day! I worked from 8-12:45p, then I went to class from 1-3:15, then I went to the other job to fill out my new-hire paperwork.......BOOOOOOOOOO, I can't go home for my Aunt's funeral b/c I have to work and I can't take off Wed. because I have to take off Thurs at Job #1 so that I can go to orientation for Job #2. WOW! That's alot... It made me sad....but I'll pay my respects to my dear great-aunt via prayer and mediation. I know she's in a much better place and no pain.......NO PAIN!? God Bless her soul! I have alot of reading and stuff to start for grad school......If I don't have to work this weekend, I know what I'll be doing.
My younger (23) sister is 7 months pregnant and can't sleep. She isn't falling asleep until 5/5:30 in the am. and hse has to go to work at 7/7:30.......Poor baby.......lol!

Why have I been invited to like 3 engagements this Friday night? 1. Job #2 is having an employee appreciation night with an extravagant dinner and casino night at 6:30p. 2. My Sorority is having a probate show at 7:20. 3. One of my friends that I recently re-connected with invited me to a "Game Night"/Battle of the Sexes at 8 or 9p. They all sound fun? Should I attempt to make them all? We'll see what my energy level is on Friday night!? Knowing me, I'll be in my bed, knocked out and ignoring calls.

DONE! I had to delete my bravejournal account. The account kept going invalid and they keep telling me that it's only my account and it's because of uncontrollable hardware problems on their end! Whatever, I didn't need their stinky service anyway. So I guess I'll take my sweetie's advice and create a task reminder on my desktop! Argh...if it's anything like Microsoft Outlook...I might throw my computer out the window or something...I hate Microsoft Outlook's reminders....they are soooooo annoying.

On another note. I completed everything my tasks for today. I thought the car dealership would take 3-4 hours to fix my window (it was making a popping sound everytime I tried to put it down). They fixed it and changed my oil in about 1 hour flat.......I was way surprised.

I didn't workout today as scheduled. I was too busy running errands and then I had to go to class. I would have gone after class but it was late and I didn't want to be out that late....plus it was cold and I didn't bring any changing clothes...and I didn't want to wear sweaty clothes home.

But I did eat better today.....Considering I can eat anything I want now, I don't want it. The fast was for spiritual reasons but I think it helped me mentally too. I still crave for all kinds of crazy stuff ( I don't think that'll ever change) but nowadays I only crave, I don't give in to those cravings! I also set a limit of $20 a month for entertainment meals (i.e. Olive Garden...CPK...Macaroni Grill, Chacho's, etc) And I'm saving $1 a day into my savings account-to be deposited on the 15th and 30th/31st of the month. That's roughly $30 month. That's roughly (356) 360/year. That's better than not saving anything at all. And whatever I have left over from my entertainment meals budget will also be put in my savings account.

(X)-stop asking me all those crazy questions. I'm not irritated.

I have to work tomorrow. Half a day and then I meet with my prof. for the self-course...then I'm heading to the boot for my Aunt's funeral on Wednesday.

What's on my MIND? : I want (X) to live in the same state as me!

I juiced today! Carrot juice is really GOOD! It's almost better than eating carrots themselves. I also juiced some apples, bananas, and oranges together.....it was GREAT! Natural juices taste so much better than store bought juices. I think I've created a monster...........mu hahaha!

3:59 am -- I stayed up til' at least 4 am...... I didn't do this on purpose...but I am really really not sleepy! I wish I could go to sleep. Another semester of grad school starts today....WHUPIE!

I can't wait til' I finish with school! I think I'll throw myself a party when I'm done.......

Lightbulb! That'll be part of my motivation. As soon as I speak to my advisor and get a more tentative graduation date (i have one in my head....but the University has to agree with me in order for this thing to work!) I'll start planning my own graduation party.....cake and all..hehehehehehe! I'm excited just thinking about it.

Place, Time, Year? But most impt...the guest of honor will be ME...and of course I'll salute all of the folks that put up with me while I tortured myself with Grad School.

I tell ya'- I wish there one only one level of education after high school...that being college of course...but I wish the limit was getting a Bachelor's in something.....Degrees are overrated....You can attend a university and get the same degree as someone and still know less than the other person does. Degrees are just another way for the gov't to get rich.....They pay imaginery(sp) money to schools....the schools end up paying them their imaginery(sp) money back and the vicious cycle continues.....and who's caught in the middle......the students and their parents......unless we are filthy rich.....or have a "good job" we end up paying the gov't and/or school back in loans. The system is horrible........and it has nothing to do with race or one culture keeping another down (at least I don't see it in what I am currently talking about) When it comes to colleges/universities and loans we are all treated the same......WE ALL OWE 'EM regardless of our skin color....there's no way of getting around it

OK, I'm off my soapbox, but I'm still not sleepy. I think I'll go try to read something....I was going to read my bible....but I know that once I start reading I'll nod off and I don't want to be conciously disrespectful! I'll try to read something along the lines of spirituality so that my mind won't be filled with wacky stuff before I slumber.

Lord....Thank you for keeping me in the midst of my environment. Thank you for sending people my way that would be able to give me encouraging words daily. I truly appreciate your love for me and my brothers and sisters. I love You Lord! Continue to humble me and strengthen me to deal with whatever you have planned for me. I now understand that I am going through everything I am because you want me to me more like Jesus. WOW....thanks! 4:24 -- I will start my exercise routine on Jan. 23....I signed up for the National Body Challenge ( www.discovery.com/health ) Free membership at Bally's from 1/15/05 - 3/12/05. Plus personalized meal schedules from ediets.com. I don't need to lose weight, I just need to tone up everything and flatten my tummy. After much trial and error, I've learned that it makes a great deal of sense to take care of the body that God has so graciously given us.

It's been a year since I feel in love with you. WOW....I could have never imagined such a beautiful thing would happen to me. The circumstances behind our meeting was soooooo shocking. On the menu tonight: Meatless Breakfast Sausage Links and my version of creamed spinach....the link were good, the spinach came out a lil' salty. Next time I'll be sure to use fresh parmesean cheese instead of the grated parmesean in the can! Almost forgot about my baby carrots dipped in French Onion Dip!
Ummmmm......I am eating like a pregnant woman. And the possibility of that being the case is impossible.

I only the kitchen to go...(Cleaning) Then I'll fold all of those clothes....and then work again! I'm almost done! YAY! God is really keeping me up right now. I want to sleep but I'm not tired. I think we sleep out of habit. I love to sleep it's so relaxing! LOL!

Lie bumps really hurt! I didn't lie (well, I'm not perfect...so I'l say that I don't remember lying.) I looked it up online to no avail. Gee goggle thanks! My tongue is swelling....a little and it hurts to talk. It hurts to eat....and on top of all that...BLLD is coming tomorrow and I have a swollen tongue how disgusting....that sounds gross...it sounds worse than it looks or really is. I may need to see a doc. What kind of doc do I go to? A reg phsycian or a dentist? I gotta do something, I sound ridiculous. When anything including saliva touches it...(yeah I know) It hurts! Go figure!

This place is a hot mess......I have company.....(BLLD) coming this Thursday and I have to get it spiffy before he gets here! What a hog! I get so overwhelmed that I just stop! That's not good!

I set a work goal for myself. I finished half of my goal. I just finished!

I am tired I can't clean tonight! I'm excited.....Thursday can't get here fast enough. I really want some cornbread dressing. I'm losing wieght and I stopped trying...I got this Pilates tape and worked out really hard b4 bible study on last Wednesday....I haven't picked up the tape since then. I learned that I really type way faster if I don't look at the keys. It's also more accurate when I don't look at the keys. Maybe I'll try it for the rest of the month! Maybe not. Buh BYE!

Proverbs 21:1 - The king's heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD; he turns it wherever he pleases.

If you’ve ever had to go for a job interview, or stand before a judge or a jury, or depend on someone in an influential position, you understand that sometimes they have the ability to grant or deny whatever request you may have.

But God wants you to know today, that it doesn’t matter who’s placed before you, how influential they are, nor does it matter how many “hookups” they have. Their power is limited before God. God is the king on the throne, and He is able to turn their hearts in your favor. God’s providence directs the course of a person’s heart to serve His own purpose. God can change men’s minds to turn from that which they seem most intent upon. In other words, they may be dead set against loving you, but God can change that. They may be dead set against hiring you, but God can change that. They may be inclined to do you harm, but God can change that. He may not want to take care of his child, but God can change that. The supervisor may be planning your termination, but God can change that.

It is God who has control over everything, not man. Therefore, do not put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. (Psalms 146:1). The bible says in Proverbs 29:26 that many seek the ruler's favor, But justice for man comes from the LORD.

Understand, that as a child of God you have favor with him. Esther found favor, Joseph found favor, Nehemiah found favor, David found favor, Daniel was granted favor. The bible says in Luke 2:52 that God allowed Jesus to increase in favor with God and man.

Saints today, seek God’s favor, not man’s. Don’t allow people to block your vision. God’s favor overrides everything a person might think or say about you. It is God who directs the king’s heart. It is God who turns a person’s heart towards you. Ask the Lord for favor today.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your word! Lord, thank you for being in control of even the king’s heart. God because we know we have found favor in your sight, we know we will find favor in the king’s sight. Lord, right now the turn of our life is dependent on the person you’ve appointed over the decision. But God, we believe now that you are in control of the situation. We believe that you have the power to change things the way they should go. We believe in your power. And we believe by faith that whatever outcome we desire will come to pass. Lord…give us supernatural favor today! In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!

I need to vent!

I am trying to stop the complaining spirit that I have or used to have.....but everytime I need to vent, I feel bad because I feel as though I am complaining....so I keep it bottled in and then I burst! I feel like screaming....cuz I'm misunderstood.....I'm not complaining, just talking about what's on my mind.

I appreciate the fact that...I have a job.....but I am tired! I just want to sit for a minute!
I appreciate the fact that...I was accepted into grad school, but man, I'm getting a lil' discouraged. And I don't think some people get it. I think that they think it's no big deal. I think that they think that it's just like undergrad! I WISH!
I appreciate the fact that...There are so many academically enhanced (Smart) professors at my univ. but.....I think we worship diff. Gods. I think that they think that they are God...and that their word is law! I think that they don't like to be wrong and furthermore, I don't think they very much care about my opinion. I HATE IT! And then I get all caught up in the GLBT talks (Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transsexual) I am not against the people or should I say their personality...I am just strongly against their lifestyle. NONE OF MY PROF's thus far can handle that. So, they tell us to speak our minds and stand for what we believe in but then when what I stand for is diff from what they stand for....they argue you down....and then a lil lightbulb goes off and you realize that they have to grade you....so you shut up just to appease the PROF. THIS SUCKS. I'm thinking about transferring to a HBU. but then i think about what I read tonight in Phillipians 2. It talked about pressing on...even though! it talks about speaking about God even when you are in the presence of your enemies. It talks about you being rewarded because you stayed true to God's word! That energizes me and makes me want to keep going to class and standing my ground. I get a headache thinking about all this stuff. I don't usually eat more than one piece of pizza....tonight, I ate 6 in one sitting. and today for luch i ate two plates of thanaksgiving dinner at a work luncheon.

To top that off, I have a noisy neighbor...he plays music really loud and he walks really hard. The other morning I was ironing my clothes for church (6:30 am) and I hear moaning noises...I was like, I am hallucinating. then it got louder and then it got rhythmic......and the ceiling started creaking...........I was like....go to sleep! .........oh well

Another thing...I appreciate the fact hat I have an apartment, but I'm tired of cleaning. I'm not a hog...but I clean and then next thing Iknow, it's dirty again....not dirty just cluttered. OK, I quit, I am going to go wash my face ! I DIGRESS!

And for the record! I am not in favor of GLBT's and I do not believe that they should be given Civil Unions or any other kind of marriage aggreement!

I've been busy. With school and work. I am working at home today. I decided to take a break and here I am. Ramen Noodles....the kind in the lil' cup taste good! Esp. the beef flavor. I think I found a new found favorite! I think I can eat it 'erday.

The picture is of a two day old twist out from two week old twists. It looked so much better the first day, but shrinkage took over...and voila....The black think in back of my head is a speaker from my stereo......The camera still sucks VOMIT (Ugh, that one was nasty! )

I'm sooooooo tired! I had a full day with some of my clients and their family. I left at 10:00 am and didn't get home until 9:30 pm. Man, I didn't think I was that tired until I sat down at this computer.....

DON't buy the $20 digital camera from Wally world. It bites raw eggs! I was tying to be all economical and stuff...so I bought it...plus I was trying to surprise my bf with an email and a picture of me. My plan flopped! The camera doesn't have a flash. The camera doesn't have a spot for a memory card and the thing kept beeping at me. It won't take a picture if it doesn't sense enough light. Which is a lie....none of my pics that I finally snapped had enough light...and I was standing right in front and under a light. It bites raw rotten eggs! UGH!

When you are down to NOTHING, God is always up to SOMETHING!

Man, I was broke......but, I checked my university account only to find out that my financial aid is being processed. (I turned the paperwork in on Friday, tonight is Thursday) I imagined it would be another month before I actually saw any of it. One of the grants that I got is going through as I type.

Words of Wisdom......Just pray and know that GOD is GOD! He doesn't need your help. He can do it all by himself. Now he may allow you to activate something but he doesn't need you!

God is good...and not just because he is increasing my bank account....He's good just because. Something happened....well, I made a mistake at the beginning of the week. I regressed in a certain area. Everything happens for a reason. I learned that not everything we see or read is meant for our current situation. I read something and I tried to make it fit my situation at the time. I looked for validation and justifcation. When you look hard enough you will find what you are looking for. Well I got the validation I was looking for and went forward with what I wanted to go forward with. And then I felt guilty and talked to God about it and asked him for clear direction. He gave it to me. I felt the need to read Colossians Chapters...2-4 (The scriptures for the day). Man, that was directly for my situation. There I sat talking to God, and he was talking directly back to me. I asked him how can I do.....and he said......!
I just had an epiphany! Had I been reading my bible daily like I am supposed to be doing! I would have read these scriptures and would not have strayed! WOWOWOW! God knows what we do before we do it. He knows what we are going to think about even before we think about it.! Man He's so AWESOME! GOD! THANKS THANK YOU! I'm not worthy but Thank You for having mercy on me! I love you God.! Thanks! Thank You for giving me the right people at the right time.....Bless them as they continue to Bless ME! Lord, I love you! I praise Your name!

If you haven't seen this movie. You must go out right this moment and get it. It just makes me say ....... WOW! Instead of the news always focusing on the stupid stuff celebrities do...how about they focus on the guy that's leading the USA into his own personal little war.

NAH! That would hurt his finances...and then that would mean that he would really have to catch Bin Landen. hmmmmmm....I bet Bin Laden is laid up on some island. I bet he got away on a plane .... I bet the USA (courtesy of the Bush Family ) paid for him to diasppear. I bet they staged 9/11. WHy wouldn't they. OK, so I started this BLOG, and was like, ok....now what. I realized that my schedule is entirely too busy for blogging. but since I was up late, I decided....to blog.

Well, I started grad school and since then, i haven't had too much time to do anything else. I feel like they (the prof.) are asking so much of me. then i realized that it's grad school....what else did i expect.

work is so up in the air right now....if i stopped working, then i'd have more time to concentrate on school. but if i quit, would i really concentrate on school or just sleep all day? I dunno....so until God tells me to do something else, I am staying put.

*i get lazy so i go in and out of using caps & correct sentence structure* You''let used to it.

Funny things that I saw today: I saw a pic where this man took a pic in a blackk wife-beater. It wasn't just any ole pic. His girlfriend was dressed nice in a blouse, makeup on and her hair all done...and there he was cheesin away in that wife-beater......and scrungy looking....ugh. But it sure did make me laugh.

Florida got hit 3 x's this Hurricane Season. And the stupid Presidential Debate is in Miami this Thursday......Why hold a debate in an area so distraught....it just seems insensitive to me. Those people have more on their minds than which war America is going to fight next. I think the 1st debate needs to be cancelled or moved to another location.

I don't think the new show by Boris and Terri (from Soul Food) will last too long. I was all for it, until I actually saw it. They should have stuck to drama. It's not funny. I wish them the best....but I don't expect to see it around next season.

I'll be back...... I promise. I'll try to write at least once a week....Ok that's a far stretch. How about once every two weeks.
